The oil resistant O-ring is mainly made of Buna N standard O rings, which has good oil resistance characteristics. NBR nitrile rubber has good wear resistance and deformation resistance. In order to achieve the best sealing effect, the cross-sectional diameter d2 of the O-ring should be chosen as large as possible. In dynamic sealing applications, considering dimensional tolerance factors, it is recommended to choose a larger cross-sectional diameter for the same inner diameter d1.

Design standard for O-ring sealing groove:

The groove width should be greater than the maximum diameter of the O-ring after compression deformation, and the expansion caused by the movement and heating of the O-ring and the swelling caused by the medium should be considered. 2. Under dynamic sealing conditions, there should be a certain amount of space in the groove to allow the O-ring to roll freely during reciprocating motion. The cross-sectional area of the O-ring should account for at least 85% of the cross-sectional area of the rectangular groove. The width of the groove is 1.5 times the cross-sectional diameter of the O-ring seal.
