What is TS16949

Its full name is "Quality Management System - Special Requirements for the Organization and Implementation of ISO9001 for Production Parts and Related Service Parts in the Automotive Industry".

ISO/TS16949 is a technical specification for the international automotive industry, with clear specificity and applicability: this specification only applies to automotive vehicle manufacturers and their direct spare parts manufacturers. These manufacturers must be directly related to the production of automobiles, able to carry out processing and manufacturing activities, and enable products to add value through such activities.
