There are various types of pump rubber O rings made of different materials in the market, which are used in different pumps. Here is a brief introduction of what to pay attention to when using fluororubber (FKM) O rings for oil pumps
1. When using mechanical seals in media that are prone to crystallization, it is important to wash them frequently. After stopping the machine and before restarting, the crystallization on the mechanical fluorine rubber O-ring should be cleaned thoroughly.
2. If there is dirt that cannot be removed, do not force it to be removed. Instead, try to remove the dirt and rinse it thoroughly before disassembling to avoid damaging the sealing components.
3. Strict inspection should be carried out on the grinding sealing end faces of the moving and stationary rings.
4. Correctly adjust the compression amount of the spring so that it is not too tight or too loose. If it is too tight, the sealing end face will quickly wear out and fail, and the consumption or rate will be high; If it is too loose, the sealing will not work and the leakage will be too large. So, after the pump is installed, when you manually pull the rotor, you should feel that the sealing spring has a certain amount of compression and can rotate quickly and flexibly with a feeling of biting. If you feel too tight or the disc cannot move, you should loosen it appropriately.
5. For mechanical seals with external flushing, the flushing fluid should be turned on before starting to fill the sealing chamber with sealing fluid. When stopping, the pump should be stopped first, and then the sealing flushing fluid should be turned off.
6. General mechanical fluorine rubber O-rings are suitable for clean, non suspended particle media. Therefore, the newly installed Plumbing and liquid storage tank should be carefully washed and cleaned to prevent solid impurities from entering the mechanical sealing surface and sealing failure.
7. The disassembly of mechanical fluorine rubber O-ring should be done carefully, and it is not allowed to use hand hammers, irons, etc. to strike to avoid damaging the sealing surface of the static ring.
8. Before installing the mechanical fluorine rubber O-ring, all sealing components should be checked for failure and damage. If there are any, they should be repaired or replaced with new components.
9. During assembly, attention should be paid to eliminating deviations. When tightening screws, they should be tightened evenly to avoid deviation and seal failure.
