The dust wiper ring is applied to the hydraulic and pneumatic piston rod, and its main function is to remove dust attached to the external surface of the piston cylinder body, preventing sand, water, and pollutants from entering the sealed cylinder body.

Most of the actual shaft wiper seals used are made of rubber materials, and their working characteristics are dry friction, which requires rubber materials to have particularly good wear resistance and low compression permanent deformation performance. In recent years, new types of dust seals that combine other materials with rubber materials have gradually been promoted, such as PTFE and O-ring combinations, which have good sealing effects. Long service life and increasingly widespread application.
