The U ring seal itself has a certain degree of elasticity and can form an initial sealing force, but due to the limited size of this force, it cannot withstand high sealing medium pressure.

When the opening side is under pressure, the applied pressure will cause the lip to tend towards the opening, increasing the sealing force. This installation can generally withstand a pressure of 300-400 kilograms (30-40 MPa).
