What is a dust ring? The rod wiper seal metric is a reciprocating seal installed on the piston rod to prevent external dust from entering the hydraulic cylinder.

The wiper seal has the characteristics of good wear resistance, anti extrusion, impact resistance, small compression deformation, and easy installation. Mainly used in hydraulic systems, machine tools, mining equipment, metallurgical equipment, standard hydraulic cylinders, general mechanical equipment, etc.

The dust ring is installed in the groove, and due to a certain amount of interference between the lip edge of the dust ring and the piston rod, the lip edge of the dust ring is tightly attached to the surface of the piston rod.

Rod wiper seal rings are extremely important for protecting critical hydraulic equipment components. If foreign objects invade, not only will the sealing components be worn, but also the guide sleeve and piston rod will be greatly worn. Impurities entering the hydraulic medium will also affect the function of the operating valve and pump, and may also damage these devices. The dust ring can remove dust on the surface of the piston rod, but it will not damage the oil film on the piston rod, which is also beneficial for the lubrication of the sealing components. When designing the dust ring, it must not only adapt to the piston rod, but also play a sealing role in the groove.
