As an electrical insulator, insulating rubber products should not have a large amount of freely movable charges in their body, in addition to having good physical and mechanical properties of rubber, which means they have good electrical insulation performance. This performance is usually comprehensively measured by values such as volume insulation resistance, breakdown voltage, dielectric constant, power factor, corona, etc.

Due to the high elasticity and low conductivity of insulated rubber products, they have increasingly replaced traditional insulation materials such as ceramics, glass, wood, and pure water, and are widely used for electrical insulation protection in magnetic fields, electrical appliances, and circuits.
