What is O ring?
O ring is a ring with round cross section. It began to appear in the mid-19th century, when it was used as the sealing element of steam engine cylinder.

Because of low price, simple manufacture, reliable function and simple installation requirements, O-ring is the most common mechanical design for sealing. O-rings can be used in static applications or in dynamic applications where there is relative motion between components, such as rotating pump shafts and hydraulic cylinder pistons.

Features of NBR rubber compound Oring

Nitrile rubber has excellent oil resistance and non-polar solvent resistance, as well as excellent mechanical properties and air tightness. Suitable for aliphatic hydrocarbons such as propane, hexane, mineral oils and fats, fuel oils, vegetable and animal oils, silicone oil, silicone grease, chemical fire extinguishing agents, acid alkali salt solutions diluted at low temperatures, and water below 100 ℃. However, it has poor resistance to aromatic solvents, halogenated hydrocarbons, ketones, and ester solvents, as well as strong acids and bases.
