1. High temperature resistance
Fluorine rubber FKM: When it comes to fluorine rubber, it is estimated that many people will first think of its high temperature resistance. The high temperature resistance of fluorine rubber is the same as that of silicon rubber, which can be said to be the best among rubber elastomers at present. The standard fluorine rubber code FKM or FPM can be used at 200 ℃ for a long time, while the perfluoroether rubber FFKM can be used continuously at 330 ℃ even higher.
Nitrile butadiene rubber NBR: It can be used within 100 ℃, and fluororubber is perfect in terms of temperature resistance.
2. Mechanical properties
FKM: FKM has excellent physical and mechanical properties, and has advantages in tear resistance and elongation at break.
NBR: NBR has excellent physical and mechanical properties and processing properties.
3. Stability
FKM: FKM material has stable chemical properties. It is also one of the rubber elastomers with better resistance to various media. Fluorine rubber is resistant to silicone ether oil, silicone oil, petroleum base oil, diester oil, most organic and inorganic solvents, inorganic acids, drugs, etc. Among them, the materials that fluorine rubber cannot resist are only the following: low molecular ether, ester, ketone, and all ammonia, amine, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid liquid pressure oils.
4. Aging resistance
FKM: FKM has very good weather aging resistance and ozone resistance. The performance of fluororubber products after natural storage for 5 years is still satisfactory.
NBR: the aging resistance of NBR is worse than that of fluorine rubber. Generally, the finished products of NBR can be stored for 10 years.
5. Cryogenicity
Fluorine rubber: Due to its chemical structure, the fluororubber itself is not particularly good at low temperature resistance, and its low temperature performance in actual use is also average. Unless special additives can make the fluororubber resistant to low temperature to minus 30 degrees, the general fluororubber can only reach minus 10 degrees.
NBR: general NBR can withstand low temperature - 30 ℃, while cold resistant NBR can withstand low temperature - 50 ℃.
6. Price
FKM: FKM is very expensive due to its excellent comprehensive performance.
NBR: currently, it is more cost-effective rubber elastomer material.
