What is GLT

Viton GLT is a fluoroelastomer designed to retain the high heat and chemical resistance of common Viton grades while improving the material's low temperature flexibility and resistance. The TR10-value according to ASTM D 1329 or ISO 2921 states the value in °C at which a specimen which was stretched 25% or 50% recovers by 10 % after freezing. Viton GLT has a TR 10 that is around -30 °C, which is around 12 °C lower than common Viton/FKM grades. GLT products are available to accommodate a variety of processing conditions.

- Chemical resistant: close to type A/F26 FKM

- High temperature range: close to type A/F26 FKM

- Vulcanization method: peroxide cure. So it can resistant to hot water and steam which is different from type A/F26 FKM.

- Special characteristic: can be used to produce AED/RGD seals
