Metric X Rings Sealing Technology

The sealing ring in the shape of an X is a double-acting component with its own elastic sealing capacity. The superposition of radial or axial contact stress produced by pre compression during initial installation and system pressure results in the sealing function. After superposition, the sealing force grows as system pressure rises. The X-shaped sealing ring behaves like a fluid with high surface tension when under pressure. All surfaces can receive the pressure in a uniform way.
