Characteristics of V ring rubber seal

V-shaped water seal is fixed on the shaft by its own elastic tension, and the flexible sealing lip keeps in contact with the shaft seat surface with a small Contact force.

The flexible sealing lip can compensate for the eccentricity of the shaft, the different axial degrees between the cavity and the shaft, and the machining errors of the shaft.

The sealing lip can prevent internal grease or oil from leaking out, while also preventing the invasion of external dust, dirt, etc. Due to the rotational motion of the V-shaped water seal along the axis and the centrifugal force, its main body acts like a slip ring to prevent dirt from entering the working medium.

Unlike other oil seals, the V-shaped water seal relies on its elastic sealing lip to form a radial sealing effect. The sealing lip has good mobility and adaptability, so it requires a smaller tolerance fit compared to other sealing components, a simple design, and compensates for the problem of eccentricity of the rotating shaft.
