The PTFE glyd ring for the shaft is composed of a low friction filled PTFE rectangular seal ring and an O-ring, which is used for the high-pressure system oil cylinder with linear reciprocating motion and the piston rod seal in the servo oil cylinder, playing a two-way sealing role. It is generally used for piston seal, with O-ring on the outside. There are holes and shafts.
The rotary glyd ring for holes is composed of a low friction filled polytetraethylene seal ring and an O-ring. It is used for the rod, shaft, rotary joint, etc. with rotary or oscillating motion. It belongs to the peripheral seal and is a bidirectional rotary seal ring that can be subjected to the pressure on both sides or the alternating pressure.
One or two annular grooves can be machined to form a lubricating oil chamber according to the different cross section sizes of PTFE sealing rings, which reduces friction, improves the specific pressure of sealing surface and enhances sealing effect.
PTFE glyd ring is excellent in heavy duty two-way piston sealing under high pressure, low pressure and high frequency working conditions. It is suitable for long and short stroke, and for large piston clearance in large range of liquid and high temperature occasions. For example, it is used in injection molding machines, bulldozers, agricultural machinery, presses and other lathes.

Material
The selection of glyd ring generally depends on the materials of PTFE and O-ring to adapt to different working conditions. PTFE can be added with different materials and its content can be adjusted to change the nature of its work. The choice of O-ring is generally determined by temperature and medium. For example:
Nitrile rubber, with a temperature range of - 40~120 ℃, is oil resistant. It is often used with PTEF+bronze materials, with high cost performance.
Fluorine rubber: temperature resistance - 20~250 ℃, oil resistance, corrosion resistance. Generally, the working condition with high requirements is to use fluorine rubber with PTFE carbon fiber.
