The most valuable characteristic of silicone is its elasticity. High elasticity originates from molecular motion and is completely caused by conformational changes in silicon molecules. It can be immediately recovered after removing external forces, which are called ideal elastomers.

 

The interaction between silicon molecules can hinder the movement of molecular segments, indicating viscosity or viscosity. The properties of silicone rubber are both elastic and viscous. The factors that affect elasticity are visible in terms of size, action time, temperature, etc. When the interaction between silicone molecules increases and the regularity of molecular chains is high, the tensile strength can be easily improved, indicating high elasticity. Different adhesives have different fracture elongation rates.
