What's the temperature low temperature resistant rubber gasket can reach?
The low temperature resistance of rubber depends on the type and quality of rubber. Generally speaking, the low temperature resistance range of rubber is around -40 ℃ to -60 ℃, with some special types of rubber reaching -70 ℃. FKM only reaches -20℃, though there are special one can reach -45℃.
However, it should be noted that the low temperature resistance of rubber is not the only key indicator, as rubber is also affected by other factors such as humidity, oxidation, ultraviolet radiation, etc., which may lead to rubber aging or deterioration. Therefore, selecting the appropriate rubber material needs to consider the specific usage environment, especially in extremely low temperature environments that require extra caution.
